Financial Advising

In need of financial advice? Schedule an appointment with a financial advisor brought to you by the Office of Health & Well-Being and the Student Government Association. From February 14, 2017 to April 13, 2017 all students are able to participate in this pilot program, and schedule a half-hour appointment for free. The sessions will provide confidential and individualized services for both undergraduate and graduate students.

Financial Advisor Bio

Darlene Van Beek provides personalized, comprehensive financial planning services for individuals and families. These services include education funding and post graduate planning, estate planning, income generation, retirement planning and tax efficient strategies to preserve wealth. Darlene uses a broad array of investment solutions to meet the specific goals and dreams of her clients. She implements plans looking at short term, mid-term and long-term goals creating recommendations with consideration of your level of risk and the economics of the markets.

Darlene has over 25 years of experience building wealth strategies for individuals, business owners and corporate sponsored retirement plan employees. She gained valuable experience in her more than 25 year corporate career with companies such as New England Life, SunTrust Bank and as a financial advisor with Edward Jones and AXA Advisors. Darlene holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Northwestern University in Illinois.
